Huyen MacMichael

CIY Instructor

Huyen MacMichael has been leading and facilitating art groups for over 20 years. She has taught preschoolers all the way up to seniors and loves helping people discover their creative spark.  She has been teaching ceramics workshops, camps, and classes at local art studios for the last couple years.

She likes creating whimsical, unique, hand-built ceramic pieces but also likes improving her wheel throwing skills. She loves to learn new things and gets tingles when the community comes together creating art. She also enjoys watercolors and pastels.

When she's not with her family or in the clay studio, she runs the Arts For All visual arts program DaVinci Art Studios (a nonprofit that provides art opportunities for people with disabilities in the county), volunteers with Loudoun Sketch Club (the oldest art organization in Loudoun), and sits on the local town Commission on Public Arts (COPA).
