The studio rules can be found in the Studio Policies.

Where are you located?

  • We are in Suite 160 in the University Commerce Center.

  • 44933 George Washington Blvd.
    Ashburn, VA 20147

What should I wear?

  • Please come wearing comfortable clothes, you are okay getting clay on. Some darker clays may stain, but our class clay typically comes out in the wash.  It is highly recommended to bring a towel and an apron.  CIY towels and aprons are for sale at the studio, if needed.

  • Have short fingernails. You won’t want to come with a fresh manicure.

  • Don’t wear any loose or protruding jewellery (i.e: watches, bracelets, engagement rings).

  •  No bare feet allowed in the studio.

What should I bring?

  • Members and students are expected to have their own basic tools, however a limited number of tool sets for wheel throwing and hand building are available for use at the studio.

  • Instructors will send an e-mail prior to the first class with options for basic supplies needed for class.

  • Students are provided with 25 lbs. of clay.  Additional clay is available for sale at the studio.

  • An assortment of glazes are available for student’s and member’s use.

What if I can't make a class?

  • The first class is foundational to the entire series; we strongly recommend that if you are unable to attend the first class that you consider joining us for another session when you can attend them in sequence.

  • For the other classes, if you are unable to attend or miss a week, you can make it up by attending another regularly scheduled session if there is availability. Please check with your instructor as to availability for make-up classes.

  • Please see the Studio Policies for our Cancellation Policy.

Is there an age limit?

Our classes are tailored towards adults, but if you have a particularly artistic and mature minor you would like to enroll please contact us.

Workshops are suitable to older children, however all participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
